In June members of the 3rd Congressional District Caucus were invited to the District for an informal update. District staff discussed how the region’s population growth impacts drinking water supply and what Beaver Water District is doing to stay ahead of the growth to assure clean safe drinking water is there when residents turn on the faucet. Other topics of discussion were the history of Beaver Lake and Dam, source water protection, and the potential impact of current legislation on the water industry and what might be ‘coming down the pipe’ in the near future. Caucus members were able to ask questions and take a tour of the drinking water treatment facility. A special thank you to Sara Lynn Geiger, VP of Government Affairs at the Rogers-Lowell Chamber for helping arrange the visit.
